Live Jazz Holiday Party at Canongate!

Friday December 7th – Grammy Award winning Mace Hibbard and his quintet, featuring Melvin Jones will perform at the Live Jazz Holiday Party at Canongate Golf & Country Club at Heron Bay!

An Amazing Evening with the Mace Hibbard Quintet

Mace Hibbard and his Quintet brought Atlanta’s finest jazz to Jewel City Jazz at Canongate Heron Bay in Locust Grove. The two sets featured many originals from Mace Hibbard’s catalog spanning his 3 albums. Melvin Jones , back for his second appearance in the series, was in fine form tonight showcasing his incredible range on the horn. We were treated to some incredible playing from pianist Louis Heriveaux, Chris Burroughs garnered a standing ovation for his amazing percussion solo and Tommy Sauter’s bass kept the pulse going throughout the evening.

COMPLIMENTARY WINE TASTING from 6:30 to 7:00pm

Jewel City Jazz presents Mace Hibbard and his quartet at the Canongate Country Club in Heron Bay. Tickets are $15 at the door. Doors will open at 6:30pm for a “Meet and Greet” wine tasting and the band will pump things up at 7pm.

Melvin Jones Quartet – October 12

On Friday October 12th, Melvin Jones and his quartet kicked off the Jewel City Jazz series at the Canongate Country Club in the Heron Bay. The audience was treated to almost 3 hours of straight ahead jazz featuring songs from the past as well as Melvin’s own arrangements and music.
